Let the music fuel your body as you feel the African rhythms... All while wearing your baby. This Babywearing Afro-Dance class will combine traditional and modern African dance into a fun and energetic class.
This class is low impact. Mothers can safely take this class shortly after they have given birth. We recommend that your child be at least 12 weeks old, to ensure that your baby has started to be able to support their head and neck. By the time a baby is able to do this a mother has normally recovered enough to begin exercising. When you come to class, be sure to wear comfortable clothing that allows movement. Babywearing Afro-Dance is a great workout, and as your baby grows bigger, the workout will intensify! We also recommend you bring a water bottle and a change of clothes for your baby. The class is done barefoot. Make sure you bring your own baby carrier to class, many models are available, so use the one that you find the most comfortable. |
